CKM prides itself on offering students a high quality standards-based education for grades 9-12. Course offerings include English, mathematics, social sciences, science, world languages, physical education, and various electives. The curriculum is based on state content standards as set forth by the California Department of Education.
CKM is home to the district’s highly acclaimed Humanities and International Studies Program (HISP), the Air Force Junior ROTC,Criminal Justice Academy and the Law & Public Policy (LPPA). CKM also offers a selection of Regional Occupational Program (ROP) classes.
CKM counselors provide services in educational counseling as well as personal/social counseling. Students are assigned a counselor based on the first letter of their last name, or if they are an Academy or EL/Bilingual student.
With few exceptions, every high school senior attending a Sacramento City Unified School District high school must complete a senior project during the second semester of twelfth grade in English class.
