2017 Fall Fundraiser – LION FEST

LION FEST is CKM’s upcoming Fall fundraiser to be held at Park Terrace Swim Club in South Land Park on Saturday, September 30th from 6-10pm. The event features a live local band, food & beverage from local restaurants, wineries and breweries, silent auction of local artists and sporting team gift baskets.

This exciting event is being sponsored by the school’s booster club, Restore the Roar (RTR), who is dedicated to the support of the athletic tradition at McClatchy High School.  All proceeds from this event will assist in the funding of sports equipment, uniforms, transportation, referee fees, tournament fees and other necessary means to support the 30 athletic teams at the school.  The district and school cannot provide the amount of financial support needed to run all of the school’s sporting teams.  RTR assists with providing the additional funds through fundraisers and donations.

Please help your child and the school by attending LION FEST on September 30th!  If you cannot attend, you can always donate.  Tickets can be purchased at:

ROAR Program Seeking Donations

Many of you may remember the ROAR (Respect, On task, Active, Responsible) program, launched the beginning of the school year, which rewards CKM students for positive behavior. Students who exhibit ROAR qualities are given a ROAR card by adults on campus. Every Friday a drawing for the ROAR reward is held. The program has been very successful and the school is seeking donations for prizes for the winning students, so that the program can continue through the end of the year and into the following year. Samples of previous donations include:

  • Gift certificates to Taylor’s Market
  • Gift certificates to Marie’s Donuts
  • Gift certificates to Freeport Bakery
  • Gift Certificates to McDonald’s
  • Apple gift cards
