Fundraising Opportunities

Overview

CKM has a multi-pronged fundraising effort to support school programs and student activities. Families, friends, staff, teachers, students, and alumni can donate to CKM in a wide variety of ways.

Amazon Smile

AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon that lets you enjoy the same wide selection of products, low prices, and convenient shopping features as on Amazon.com. The difference is that when customers shop on AmazonSmile (smile.amazon.com), the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the price of eligible purchases to the charitable organization.

Athletics Boosters

For parents of students involved with sports teams, there are booster clubs for football, cross country, aquatics, track and field, basketball, volleyball, and baseball—to name a few. Parents can help with a snack bar, distribute uniforms, plan the end of year banquet, or oversee a car wash.

This program allows state workers to have funds deducted monthly from paychecks to benefit local schools and charities. Funds from this program benefit CKM’s PTSA and the programs it supports. Check with the state agency where you are employed to learn more. Many employers match funds workers donate to schools or will donate funds to a school based on the number of hours you volunteer. Several also have foundations that support their workers’ favorite charities. Inquire with your employer.

eScrip

eScrip is an electronic scrip program featuring national and regional retailers that rebate a percentage of your purchases (both in-store and online shopping) back to CKM. Register your store, credit, and debit cards; then choose the CKM activities you wish to benefit from your purchases, including:

HISP Direct Donation

CKM’s Humanities and International Studies Program solicits donations from families to support both HISP and school-wide projects and programs. See Direct Donation information and form.

Land Park Home Tour

The Land Park Home Tour uses proceeds from its annual event to support the visual and performing arts at CKM and other schools in Land Park. Support the tour and help CKM’s art programs thrive. CKM families living in Land Park may volunteer their home for the tour. Parents and students may sign up to be a docent in one of the featured houses. Look for flyers and lawn signs posted throughout the neighborhood and in area businesses for more details and contact information.

Nugget Market

Nugget Markets also use electronic swipe cards to benefit schools. Obtain your card from a CKM PTSA representative. Proceeds benefit the CKM Parent Student Teacher Association.

PTSA Membership Drive

he PTSA runs a membership campaign where CKM families, staff, teachers, and students join to support school-wide projects and programs. Information is sent home via students and through the PTSA’s e-mail list.

Raley’s Something Extra Card

Raley’s Something Extra program allows CKM to earn a percentage of your purchase total every time you shop at Raley’s or Bel Air. To obtain an account, ask at Raley’s/Bel Air for a Something Extra card. When registering your card, choose the CKM activities you wish to benefit from your purchases.  You may split your percentage among multiple activities, including:
