Documents/Information Needed to Fill Out Financial Aid Application
If filling out a FAFSA, student and one parent must create an FSA ID at fsaid.ed.gov prior to filling out application. If neither parent has a social security number, they do not have to make an FSA ID.
- Student’s Social Security number and driver’s license number (or government issued ID) if available
- Parents’ Social Security number (if available) and birthdates
- Parents’ federal income tax returns for tax year 2019
- Records of untaxed income such as child support, TANF, interest income, veteran’s non-educational benefits, social security benefits
- Student’s 2019 federal income tax return, or evidence of income earned (W-2 form or pay records)
- Bank account records or statements Records of stocks, bonds or investments (if available)
- Business records (if available)
- If not US citizen, bring alien registration card (if available)
- A list of colleges you are interested in and housing plans
