Documents/Information Needed to Fill Out Financial Aid Application

If filling out a FAFSA, student and one parent must create an FSA ID at fsaid.ed.gov prior to filling out application. If neither parent has a social security number, they do not have to make an FSA ID.

• Student’s Social Security number and driver’s license number (or government issued ID) if available
• Parents’ Social Security number (if available) and birthdates
• Parents’ federal income tax returns for tax year 2019
• Records of untaxed income such as child support, TANF, interest income, veteran’s non-educational benefits, social security benefits
• Student’s 2019 federal income tax return, or evidence of income earned (W-2 form or pay records)
• Bank account records or statements Records of stocks, bonds or investments (if available)
• Business records (if available)
• If not US citizen, bring alien registration card (if available)
• A list of colleges you are interested in and housing plans
