Library & Media Center
Our Staff
Staffed by Librarian, Nicole Baradat, and Library Technician, Leigh Houghton, the CKM library is a bustling center of activity on campus. The library provides students with an impressive collection of literature, nonfiction work, and reference materials as well as classes and special events. We also have a copier/printer for printing papers and assignments, art supplies, a nice place to hang out, and Chromebook support. ASSETS after-school program also uses the library, so come check it out!

Signing in
Students are asked to sign-in when using the library. By signing in, students agree to follow library rules and procedures. Sign-in information is also used to provide statistics on library use by CKM students.
Access to our Catalog and/or Other Resources on ClassLink
To see the offerings in our collection, login to ClassLink and find the Library Resources folder. There are many resources there for students to use. Find the Follett icon with our school name to browse for books and put one on hold to be delivered in classes! For students needing additional resources beyond those at CKM, the Sacramento Public Library provides access to a number of online databases and periodicals. Students each have a unique log in: SC and their school number. The password is the year they were born (example: SC700xxxxx password: 2010). Please come see us in the library for help!
Library Expectations
When using the library, students must keep in mind the following expectations for their behavior. Failure to follow the rules may result in library privileges being temporarily suspended.
- When using the library during class time, students must present their passes as they enter the library.
- Only foods that can be vacuumed and water (nothing sticky!) may be consumed in the library.
- Borrowed books are returned to the bin under the counter.
- Books viewed in the library are put in the re-shelving cart near the counter. The library assistant will re-shelve the books.
- Furniture, if moved, must be returned to its original position.
Checking out books
- Students may check out four books for three weeks each.
- No fines are assessed for late items; however, fines will apply for non-careful use of/lost/stolen items. Here are the current policies: Library Fines Policies
